Preston North End fans with their bowler hats celebrating Gentry Day to honour North End fans who are no longer with us.
The saying ‘the Gentry’ dates back to the 70s when Alan Ball referenced the supporters saying ‘Preston fans are the best, they are the gentry’.
Since 2008 the day has been revived with fans dressing up for an away game in mid-March each year, organised by the Preston Supporters Group.
